🪛 Installation

  1. Insert the Nayoki base into the utility plate of your Cookie G35
  2. Lock the base using the helmet's original release system.
  3. For Insta360 X6, X5, X4 and X3: Attach your camera to the interface using the supplied 1/4-20 screw
  4. For GoPro Hero 9 to 13: Engage the standard GoPro mounting fingers into the interface, then tighten the original GoPro knob.
  5. For DJI Osmo Action 6: Mount the Osmo Quick Release Bidirectional Mounting Bracket (supplied with the camera) onto the interface; the mounting screw passes through the pre-drilled hole on the DJI mount.
  6. Choose your capture angle from the available positions on the rosette
  7. Tighten the rosette screw to permanently fix the angle
  8. Test the edit in a controlled environment before the actual jumps.

🧠 Practical notes by camera model

The rosette system allows the capture angle to be adjusted. and lock it with the same screw. Once tightened, the angle is fixed: no drift during the jump, no surprises when watching. To adjust, simply loosen, reposition, and tighten.

Insta360 X6: The interface was designed to maintain full access to the camera's openings. The battery compartment and USB cover can be opened with the camera in place, without disassembly or an external charger. In practice, the grip under the finger is slightly less secure than with the camera bare, since the covers can no longer be grasped from below, but both can still be opened.

Insta360 X5: The Insta360 X5's charging port is located underneath the camera and is inaccessible once the interface is mounted. To ensure maximum rigidity and sturdiness, the interface base is designed without any openings. Using an external battery charger is highly recommended to recharge the camera without having to remove it from the mount and avoid repeated handling. I use and recommend it. this charger on a daily basis.

GoPro Hero 9 to 13: The GoPro Hero 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 share the exact same dimensions and finger-mount system, ensuring complete compatibility with the interface. The camera attaches via the standard GoPro mounting system, and then the angle is locked in place with the Nayoki system's rosette screw.

DJI Osmo Action 6: the interface uses the Osmo quick-release, two-way mounting bracket supplied originally with the DJI camera. To maintain minimal bulk and maximum rigidity, The DJI mount's quick-release function is disabled. In this configuration: the Nayoki system's mounting screw passes through the DJI mount's mounting hole, locking it in place. This is a deliberate design choice that prioritizes strength and compactness, while the G35 headset's native release mechanism ensures safe release in case of snagging.

🎯 Material selection

  • PETG (Premium): Increased resistance to shocks and temperature variations, ideal for most uses. Available in black, white, dark blue, gray, yellow, and red.
  • PETG-Carbon (Expert): Maximum rigidity and resistance, professional matte black finish, recommended for intensive use such as tandem videographers. Available in black only.

🪂 Compliance and safety

The geometry of the Nayoki Utility Mount Cookie G35 was designed in accordance with the requirements of the French Parachuting Federation No sharp angles, no catching edges, no roughness that could catch a suspension line during opening. The release system used is the original one from the Cookie G35, it is the helmet manufacturer who designed and validated this release mechanism. No modifications, no tinkering, no compromise to the integrity of your equipment.

The assembly and use of this support remain the responsibility of the user and the technical manager of their jump center.

    Quality and professionalism guaranteed!
I'm only giving it 4 stars because I had to file down the internal surface of the camera mount (DJI Osmo Action 6) otherwise I couldn't slide the release strip of my G35 into it.
But I still highly recommend this brand!

    • Connec7e

Thank you very much for your feedback, your recommendation, and for taking the time to point this out.

I am, however, surprised by the difficulty encountered with the DJI Osmo Action 6 support, as the different elements of your order are based on the same design principle in terms of the Cookie G35 release system.

It is therefore possible that a slight excess thickness or manufacturing residue escaped my control on this part. This is obviously not the intended function, and I will investigate this point to prevent it from happening again.

Please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you still experience any issues with the support.

Thank you again for your trust and for this constructive feedback!

    I highly recommend it!
